The Debate

In Chapter 15 of Reading the Room, a structural dynamics analysis of Barack Obama, I identified the President as a Bystander in Open System Meaning. The downside of this profile (see chapters 2-5) is a tendency to internally follow and process information while simultaneously gearing up for a response (a strong move and oppose would be appropriate). Romney's strategy, a blast of words misrepresenting even his own position, overwhelmed Obama's strategy of presenting facts. The result was that he seems slow, detached, and ineffectual. All a consequence of an otherwise effective behavioral repertoire based on the above, sited, profile.
